Theoretical and practical course to understand the operation, diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of instrument panels as well as BSI boxes, Body and other comfort elements

 

We will explain the various failures that these devices usually cause as well as their programming and possible solutions in different brands and models of cars.

* Common fault – Cold solder

 

- Types of Engines

Brake or pinion mechanism:

-To remove the needles you can rotate

-Can be repaired

-Can be opened by hand

-It is easy to calibrate

Without brake with copper winding:

-Not repairable

-You cannot set it by hand, we need to have the box connected

-Repair when the screen is scratched (resolder) cold welding problem

-When replacing the screen, in some cases you have to modify the voltage in the eeprom (according to the manufacturer)

 

Direct flat welding:

-Clean the surface well when removing the old one

-Microscope or magnifying glass is essential to be able to safely replace

-Place the flat very well in its position

-The welder must be in the shape of a 'T' and must be protected with rubber.

-Very difficult to replace

-Normally the screen is not damaged, it is soldered to the plate and screen

 

Repair of pixelated figures on the screen:

-Replace screen

-Correct checksum of the mileage figure

 

Repair failure of crazy needles or incorrect marking:

-Upload original file

 

Adjust original mileage:

-Compare files, replace line that changes (not the VIN one)

-The figure can also be recalculated in the same file

-Example: in Citroen, Mercedes Benz or BMW with adjustment to a lower figure they adjust themselves by pairing with/with other modules

 

Virginize paintings:

-It can usually be done with the original brand equipment / Pass Thru J2534

-If it cannot be virginized, it can be adapted by diagnosis (depends on the brand and model)
