What is it for? (Main Purpose)

In the world of chiptuning, there is a working model called Master/Slave.

Master Tools: These allow you to read and write ECU files in an open, editable format. The professional (the "Master") can freely modify these files.

Slave Tools : These are linked to a Master. When a "Slave" technician reads a vehicle file, it is encrypted and can only be decrypted and modified by the specific Master.

The OLS1020 plugin allows a WinOLS user (acting as Master) to work smoothly and securely with encrypted files sent to them by their Slave technicians using Magicmotorsport tools (such as the popular FLEX programmer).

In short, its purpose is:

• Receive a "Slave" file from a customer or technician.
• Automatically decrypt it within WinOLS to be able to edit the ECU maps.
• Once modified, re-encrypt it so that the technician's Slave tool can write it back to the vehicle.

How to Use It? (Workflow)

The usage process is designed to be seamless and efficient, eliminating the need for external decryption tools.

Initial Setup: Before using it, the user must enter their Magicmotorsport credentials in WinOLS. This is done in the configuration menu (F12 > Third-party provider), where the X-API key / X-SN / SN provided by Magicmotorsport must be entered.

Import (Decryption): The user simply drags the encrypted file from the Slave (usually with an .mmf extension) into their WinOLS project. The OLS1020 plugin, using an internet connection and the API key, communicates with the Magicmotorsport servers and automatically decrypts the file, leaving it ready for editing.

Modification: The tuner makes the desired modifications to the ECU maps using all the powerful tools of WinOLS.

Export (Encryption): Once the modification is complete, the user exports the file from WinOLS. The OLS1020 plugin contacts the Magicmotorsport servers again to encrypt the modified file, preparing it for the slave technician. The resulting file can then be written to the vehicle by the original Magicmotorsport tool.

Important Details (Requirements and Costs)

Paying attention to these points is crucial before purchasing the plugin.

Plugin Cost: Purchasing the OLS1020 plugin requires 3 EVC points . These points are EVC's internal currency for purchasing plugins and features. Purchasing plugins with points is 20% to 40% cheaper than paying in € or $.

External Costs (Very Important!): The plugin purchase DOES NOT INCLUDE the fees that Magicmotorsport charges for this service. The user must contact Magicmotorsport directly to:

• Complete a one-time payment registration to enable this feature in your Magicmotorsport account.
• Request and obtain a valid API key (X-API-key / X-SN / SN). Without this key, the plugin is useless.

Software Requirements:

• You must have the latest version of WinOLS5. This plugin is not compatible with WinOLS4 and will not receive updates for that version.
• Version 1.004 and higher require WinOLS 5.76.11 for individual item export.

Internet Connection: An active internet connection is required, as the plugin needs to communicate with Magicmotorsport servers for encryption and decryption processes.
